Their worst fears were realized in 1991 when they were confronted by the greatest storm in modern history, and the six crew members of the swordfish boat, Andrea Gail, were lost 500 miles from home beneath waves reaching 100 feet high. Featured players include George Clooney as Captain Billy Tyne, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as Linda Greenlaw and Mark Wahlberg as Bobby Shatford. Also on hand are Diane Lane, John C. Of the story directed by Wolfgang (Air Force One) Peterson: "Even though the crew perished, the story involves what the fishermen might have been feeling, along with their families onshore." Rated PG. Cominq soon REBA HOSTS FAMILY AWARDS: Reba McEntire will host The Second Annual Family Television Awards at 9 p.m. ET Aug. 1 0 on CBS. Awards go to TV shows and actors who best represent family programming and values.

Among the eight categories are honors for best drama, comedy, movie and mini-series. This is the first year that the awards have been broadcast Eleven-year-old country star Billy Gilman will perform during the show, which is produced by dick dark productions. CUNT TALKS TO FANS: Clint Black is personally recording at least two or three audio messages per week for his fans during his current national tour in support of D'lectrified, his current CD. CHESNEYS WATER WORLD: It was appropriate, somehow, that copies of Kenny Chesney's next single, "I Lost It," went missing for a couple of days while US. Customs held up the discs at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport The CD promotional singles were assembled with a package that included "English water? On the cover, Ches-ney, dressed in a black suit and black hat appears to be partially immersed in pool water. Customs agents seized the shipment on Monday morning, July 1 0, and only decided to release it Wednesday night July 1 2. The song is one of four new cuts included on Chesney's upcoming Greatest Hits package, which will feature 1 7 tracks total, including two Poets Night at Java Ink Thursday nights with open mike at 7 p.m. Located at 7 Placer.

The Montana Historical Society's "Under the Tent Activity Days" continues at noon on the Society lawn across from the Capitol building. This week's event is: Aug. 3 Bison, Bison Everywhere! Pokemon 2000 plays nightly at 7:15 p.m. with matinees at 1 and 3:30 p.m. In this sequel to "Pokemon: The First Movie," which to date has grossed over $85.7 in the US and Canada, Ash sets out to save the world when a terrible force arrives on Earth and throws the Pokemon universe out of balance.

This animated adventure will feature six new Pokemon characters and was originally released in Japan in 1999 under the title of "Pocket Monsters Revelation Lugia." "The Movie 2000" has been re-edited and rewritten for US audiences and like "The First Movie" will continue to emphasize friendship, loyalty and the inherent value in doing what's right. Based on the best-selling Marvel Comics series, the story tells of a team of outcasts, each born with a unique genetic mutation that gives them extraordinary powers. Rejected by mankind, the X-Men soon realize that the race they fight to protect from evil has turned against them, and they must resort to desperate actions to defend themselves against an intolerant world. Featured among the ensemble are Patrick (Star Trek: Insurrection) Steward, Ian (Gods and Monsters) McKellen, Halle (Bulworth) Berry, Anna (She's All That) Paquin and newcomer Hugh Jackman. Of the story directed by Bryan (The Usual Suspects) Singer: "It's about prejudice and pride and reluctant su-perheroes." At the Gaslight 3.

Rated PG13. The Nutty Professor 2 plays nightly at 7:30 and 10 p.m. with matinees at 1:45 and 4:30 p.m. Eddie Murphy, Janet Jackson, John Ales, Anna Maria Horsford. Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) thought he had seen the last of his alter-ego, but Buddy Love is back and trying to make it on his own.

Having done his best to keep Buddy buried in his subconscious, the portly and painfully shy professor is horrified to find him resurfacing in untimely outbursts, and threatening his marriage plans to colleague Denise Gains (Janet Jackson). Utilizing Denise's cutting-edge DNA research, Sherman decides to rid himself of his monstrous nemesis and his disruptive outbursts -once and for all by extracting Buddy's DNA from his system. Featured players include John (Ride With The Devil) Ales, Larry (The Big Tease) Miller and Melinda (Wrongfully Accused) McGraw. Peter (Tommy Boy) Segal helms the comedy, marking his first production since completing "The Out Of Towners" in 1999. At the Circus Twin.

Rated PG-13. Perfect Storm plays nightly at 7 and 10 p.m. with matinees at 1 and 4 p.m. George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Diane Lane, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, John C. Reilly.

Based on Sebastian Junger's 1997 best-selling book, Patriot plays nightly at 8:30 p.m. with matinees at 1:45 and 5:15 p.m. Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger, Joely Richardson, Tcheky Karyo. Set in South Carolina in 1776, this epic drama features Mel Gibson as Benjamin Martin, a reluctant hero swept into the American Revolution. Having fought bravely in the French and Indian conflict, Martin renounces fighting forever to raise his family in peace.

But when the British arrive at his home and endanger what he holds most dear, Martin takes up arms alongside his son (Heath Ledger), and leads a brave rebel Militia into battle. In the process, he discovers the only way to protect his family is to fight for a young nation's freedom. Chief among his adversaries are Tom Wilkinson as General Cornwallis and Jason Isaac as the leader of the Green Dragoons. Also on hand is Joely Richardson as Charlotte Selton, the sister of Martinis deceased wife. Roland (Independence Day) Ejrtjijjlrich helms the action from a screenplay by Robert (Saving Private Ryan).

At the Gaslight 3. Rated R. Me, Myself and Irene. Plays nightly at 9:25 p.m. Jim Carrey, Renee Zellweger, Robert Forster, Chris Cooper.

Jim Carrey stars as Charlie, a Rhode Island state trooper with Multiple Personality Disorder. When he fails to take his medication, his personalities fall in love with a woman named Irene, which leads to a comedic war. Featured players include Renee (Jerry Maguire) Zellweger, Robert (Jackie Brown) Forster, Lyn (There's Something THE MONTANA GUITAR ENSEMBLE plays at Java Ink on Friday and at Flicker's on Saturday. Both shows begin at 8 p.m. and copies of the group's latest CD will be available for sale.
