The survey, conducted In May and June, was funded by Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Ohio. Contending that most people throughout the nation, the state and the Dayton area are pro-choice about abortion, the Freedom of Choice Coalition of the Miami Valley yesterday kicked off what they hope Is a new era of visibility. Noel Vaughn, president of the coalition sponsoring a march and rally Sunday in Dayton, admitted the group is attempting to counter the Ohio Pro-Life Convention in Dayton this weekend. Vaughn, speaking at a press conference yesterday, said she didn't know what activities the coalition of 20 groups would conduct beyond the "visibility" promised for the next few days. On Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., the convention will close with a rally featuring music and speakers in the convention center auditorium.

U.S. Rep. John Ashbrook Is the featured speaker. "But our education and lobbying will increasingly Involve a higher visibility for Freedom of Choice." She said pro-choice groups from throughout the state will be represented at the march and rally Sunday. The march will start at 12:30 p.m.

Trolander Christopher Jensen WASHINGTON (AP) The Reagan administration said yesterday it is changing the health insurance plans of federal workers to drastically curtail abortion coverage for them and their dependents.

The change affects more than 8.6 million people. The American Federation of Government Employees, a union sponsoring one of the 120 insurance plans offered to federal employees, said it would ask a federal court to nullify the ruling on grounds the agency lacked authority to take the action. Patrick Korten, a spokesman for the Office of Personnel Management, said the abortion benefit curtailment is designed both to save money and carry out the administration's abortion policy. According to Korten, about 17,000 abortions few of them involving life-threatening situations were paid for in 1980 by the health plans at a cost of $9 million. The government pays 60 percent of the premiums for the insurance coverage of its employees. The personnel agency figures show that as of June 1980, almost 2.4 million federal workers and 6.3 million of their dependents belonged to one of the insurance programs. LSD-coated stamps sold to children DENVER (AP) Children in areas of Colorado and Wyoming are being enticed by colorful cartoon stamps depicting Mickey Mouse and Snoopy and coated with the hallucinogenic drug LSD, authorities say.

Beverly Kinard, president of the Colorado Federation of Parents, said the stickers have been offered free to elementary school students and sold "like postage stamps" for $5 to $8 a sheet to junior high and senior high school students. The drug can be ingested by licking the back of the stamps.
