This lively little summer resort and amusement park has now made its 1924 offering to the jinx of hard luck.

The water pavilion tragedy last night in which seven negroes are known to.havc perished was more or 1cm in line with the series of accidents which have befallen Buckeye Lake in recent years. Two years ago the resort was threatened by fire when a blaze swept the lake front, wiping out numerous cottages and damaging amusement structures. Then a strong tornado played across the group of frame buildings, blew small craft out into the lake and did heavy damage to the resort, just as a gay summer crowd was preparing to return home. By a strangs coincidence last night's tragedy fell on the eleventh anniversary of the sinking of an excursion boat at the lake which threw 30 negroes into the water, drowning seven, the exact number lost in the water pavilion collapse. The motorboat on which the excursionists were riding crashed into a pier and went down.
