Saturday's Hero At Ritz Sunday Pictures Grid Stars, As Those "Kept Men" The story behind college football, the glamor-stripping lowdown of the body-luying system of the big- time schools and their "kept men" the gridiron, will be revealed "Saturday's Hero" which will be on the screen at the Ritz Theatre today and tomorrow. John Derek plays the role of a star high school athlete who wishes to climb above the family's station in life, and jumps at the chance to play football for an ivy- covered college. He soon realizes that he is only a "Saturday one day a week. bu. shunned by the fraternity boys.

Co-starring with Derek is Donna Reed, the niece of a wealthy, overbearing alumnus, who sponsors Derek as an All-American player. A technicolor musical by Warner "Painting the Clouds with Sunshine" will be on the screen Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Starring in the production are Dennis Morgan, Virginia Mayo and Gene Nelson. Friday and Saturday, "The Painted Hills" with Paul Kelly and Lassie will be on the screen. Also playing a starring role is Gary Gray, thirteen year old boy who played the role of Johnny Smith in 'The Next Voice you Hear.

Saturday late show will be "The Day the Earth Stood Still, starring Rennie and Patricia Neal.
