Announcement of increase v- revealed today by Berber- zell. chairman of 'OP County Chapter of Red Cross, as he issued an appeal to the rodents of the county to give donations.

He pointed out that during tr.e hectic week of tornadoes an incomplete report shows 2.508 families were affected. A total of 1 070 homes were destroyed artr- least 1,226 others damaged. Denton. 1134 Grace Avenue, Panama City, is the new assistant to the medical supply officer at the Clark Air Force Base Hospital, located 60 miles north of Manila. A recent arrival on Clark AFB, Lieutenant Denton a his military service with the U.S. Armed Forces in October 1942 at Fort McClelian, Alabama. During World War he participated in battle campaigns to Europe for which he was awarded the European Campaign Medal with four battle stars.

He joined the Air Force in July 1951 at MacDUl AFB, Fla. Lieutenant and Mrs. Denton have three-year-old son, Howard Jr The lieutenant is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Marvin Denton of Oneonta, Alabama.

SGI- JAMES E. GLASS WITH THE EIGHTH ARMY TNT KOREA Sgt James E. Glass of South Port, is helping to save the taxpayer thousands of dollars in Korea. He is a member of the 26th Signal Construction Battalion which is engaged in reclaiming field wire and cable strung by the fighting; forces. To date, the battalion has saved the taxpayers more than $167.000 by recovering 355 miles of field i wire and some 95 miles of cable A reel of cable, one-quarter mile in length, costs $375.
