county Insurance Agents associa- Lois Doman of Hillsdaie High I Coast Hiway Traffic Jam PACIFICA --Traffic was com-11 pletely tied up on the Coast highway from a few minutes before 10 a.m_ to shortly before noon 1 last Thursday when glass-slide roadways created by a drizzling rain caused a series of accidents on the highway in the south of the city. The first accident occurred at II 9:50 a.m.. Officer Chuck Fitzgerald reported, when one vehicle stopped on the highway at Crespi drive and two autos piled into the rear. The second accident occurred a short time later when the driver I of a 10-ton truck owned by a I wine company noticed the flares of the first accident. As he braked his heavy vehicle it careened out of control in the Rockaway Beach cut, overturned, and completely blocked north and south bound lanes for more than an hour.

Traffic was backed up in both directions for at least two officers said. On minute later a woman lost ill control of her car near Fairway Park, sideswiped a mail truck anc! hit the rear of another vehicle.
