JACOB TOWNSEND'S AMERICAN SARSAPARILLA. mnis IS ONE OF THE MOST EXTRAOR-X DINARY and valuable medicines in the world, lis superiority over other preparations of like character made in this country arises f'roa the mode of manufacture, and the advantage to obtaining and working the root in its green ami fresh state. The root, when brought to this country is dry, vapid, and almost, tasteless, its virtues and jui'oes having all evaporated, while it often becomes mouldy, musty, and partially decayed, so that it is quite unfit for use. The following are some of the diseases for which it is highly valuable: OR KING'S EVIL. Dit.

Towxskxp In using your iiHK.IT ukmkiiv for Scrofula, I did so more from persuasion of friends than from confidence of its merits in my own mind. I have boon so long in the hands of tho ablest physicians in the Slate of Ohio, and had taken the best remedies tho country could produce, without any favourable result, that you will not be surprised at my incredulity in tho efficacy of your Sarsaparilla. After many years of painful sufferings, afflicted with erupt ions over my whole body, and many running sores tinder my ears, arms, and other places, and my bones rotting away, life, seemed but a burden, I have now the pleasure to inform you that I have recovered, and once more enjoy the blessings which this world affords. Ail this is the work of your Sarsaparilla. Jamus W.

Lkmixotox. Cincinatti, Sept. 10, 1S5I). FEMALE COMPLAINTS. Dn.

Silt This is to certify that my wife has been afflicted for the lasl twenty years with General Debility, Prosti' Sour Stomach, Costive-ncss, Piles, Dyspepsia, and Nervous Sick Headache. She lias suffered also with pain over tho small of her back, and a burning sensation and oppression oyer the chest and abdomen. All those difficulties were brought on from taking a violent cold during menstruation, which fastened upon her system with such tenacity and violence, that it broke down all her strength and made her a helpless invalid. She has truly been a sufferer during many long years, but I have spared no expense in employing physicians, or in using the popular remedies. She lias now taken less than two bottles of Old Dr.

Tovvnsend's Sarsaparilla, and it. has none her more good than all the rest put together. It has removed her ensliveness entirely, also the piles; her strength has been restored lo her, and altogether she seems like another person. She has no more headache or dyspepsia, and I have confidence to believe it wil completely cure her. Her neighbours are trying it and it is curing them also.

We had no confidence in it, at first, lull we know it is one of the best medicines in use for Female Complaints. We give you ten ihuusanil thanks that your Sarsaparilla was made. Syi.vksit.k W. WoiiTir. Williamsborough, Sept.

The following is one of those eases arising from a disordered state of the Uterine Function, which affect the whole system, and bring on some of the most dis-dressing sufferings, This lady has suffered more or less for ten years, and has now entirely recovered by tho use of Dr. Townsend's Sarsaparilla.

She says: Messrs. Pomeroy and Co. 1 have used your Dr. Townsend's Sarsaparilla for Sick Headache and general debility, arising from a disordered state of my system, and am happy to inform you that it has completely restored me to former health and strength. I experience a degree of comfort, buoyancy of spirits, and renewed strength, which 1 have not known for ten years.

Du. Tow.vsknp Sir On the 2Hth of July, IS47, I was attacked with rheumatism, and continued, under various prescriptions, to grow worse, for at leasl two months. 1 became entirely helpless, incapable of feeding myself, or turning in bed, or helping myself in any way. In this stale I continued until January, when I began to mend a little, and improve gradually, till the first of May; this amendment was only so far as to lie able to feed myself, though still incapable of gelling in or out of bed, or oven turning in bed. I remained in this condition, with little or no change, until 1 fairly despaired of getting about this season.

On the 21st of July, 1 was induced to try your Sarsaparilla on the 24th, three days after taking the first dose, I arose in bed, which 1 had not done before in ten months, and, in less than a week, 1 walked across the room wilh the aid of crutches: since then I have walked in the slreet, I have gone alone 30, Spruce Street, to the Park, thence lo Lovejoy's Hotel, and back 1 have been to 85, Nassau Street, two or three dilVe-rent times, and am now frequently visiting my neighbours. During all this lime I have taken but two bottles of Dr. Townsend's Sarsaparilla. October 4, procured another bottle, and to-day (5th October), I walked twice across the lloor without the aid of crutches. I have also nearly recovered from obstruction of water, which gave me great distress, i'hepaii in my hack has likewise left me.

I and my family have no earthly reason to ascribe my recovery io any other cause but to Old Dr. Townsend's Sarsaparilla. A Spruce Street. P.S. Several able physicians despaired of my ever walking or even raising' myself from my bed again, NERVOUS DISEASES.
