Members of the Graham team said it was the largest crowd to attend an opening night meeting. Tragic Blaze FORT DODGE, Iowa (UPI) Paul Francis Hayes, 27, and his four daughters died in a fire tha! destroyed their house six. miles southeast 'of here Wednesday night. Hayes' wife, Ruth, 32, was the only person to escape' the fire. The children who died were 'Edna, 5; Debbie, 4; April, 3; and Becky, Mrs. Hayes said she awakened about 11 p.m. and. found the house filled with smoke, .but sheriff's officers said "she wasn't too clear on what happened after that." Honor Slayton SPARTA, Wis. (UPI) -~ Astronaut Donald (Deke) Slayton prepared to leave today for a Florida reunion with his wife and son after spending a Memorial Day stopover with his parents here. Slayton, who was replaced by Scott Carpenter on last week's orbital, flight because of an erratic heartbeat, was honored by the townspeople here Tuesday and then Wednesday visited his birthplace and rested in the sun at, his parents' home at nearby Leon. ORDERED TO TRIAL MADISON, Ind. (UPI). - Mrs. Erma Jean Park, 36,, Vevay, was ordered Tuesday to stand trial for the death of her husband, Robert, in an apparent love triangle shooting nearly two years ago. Mrs. Park went on trial last year for the fatal shooting of Mrs. Dorothy Scott, described by police as Park's mistress. The two were found shot to death .in the Scott home in Vevay on June 1, 1960.
