Dick of 2533 Greenbriar Lane, Costa Mesa, Calif- Miss Bell was a poetess and a long time resident of Pasadena. She was born in Atlanta, Ga.i April 8, 18G4, and was the daughter of Colonel Marcus A. Bell, C.S.A. and Mary Jane Hulsey prominent early residents of Georgia Capitol. Her birthplace was the Bell, Mansion, one of the three largest private residences left standing and used as headquarters during the Civil War, by General William Tecumseh Sherman.

Miss Bell displayed an early talent for poetry, many of her poems including "To Youth" being published in the "nine- tics" by Century Magazine Sounds" written by Miss Bel and dedicated Presideni Franklin D. Roosevelt as Com mander in Chief. The Bronze Medal was awarded to Miss Bell by the Cotton States Ex position in Atlanta, Ga. Mis. Bell leaves a sister, Mrs.
