Il7 I'Spt'CMI AcHtTfiMfkJ Supplement Several Innovations Inaugurated Sands opens Las Vegas' 22nd sports book Sports enthusiasts will be able to place bets on a full range of sporting events at the Sands Hotel with the new Sands Sports Book. Las Vegas' 22nd Sports Book will feature several innovations to benefit the customer. An electronic readerboard will flash updated betting information. It can also be input for special messages. Football bettors also will have half-time betting.

Complementing the new sports facility will be a wide-screen television in the Copa Room, immediately adjacent to the betting parlor. The book will have three ticket windows and will accommodate major title bouts, pro and college football contests and baseball games as well as other major sporting events. Veteran ticket writers will be among the eight employees working the book, which will be open 24 hours per day. 'Bal du Moulin Rouge' staged at Vegas Hilton "Bal du Moulin Rouge de Paris" is now playing in the main showroom of the Hilton Hotel. Mirroring productions at the famed Moulin Rouge nightclub in Paris, the musical features a cast of more than 65, including dancers, acrobats and novelty acts. For the occasion, costumes have been imported from Paris and leading fashion centers. European chanteuse, Torrill, is the show's leading lady. She is joined by Monroe, the balancing master, and European acrobats, the Saly Brother.

Tanya the Elephant will do its circus rountine. The production can be viewed twice nightly, with the dinner show costing $19.50, and the midnight cocktail experience, $16.50.
