Ruby Kolod LAS VEGAS (UPI) -- Fu-. neral services will be held today for Ruby Kolod, a longtime Nevada gambler and a major owner in the Stardust H o t e l on the Las Vegas "strip." Kolod, 57, died Friday at his' home of a heart attack. He had been- in poor health since 1963. Services will be conducted at the Temple Beth Sholom at 1 p.m. Owners of the Stardust Hotel said the gambling resort would be closed three hours during the services. Kolod owned eight per cent of 'the Stardust Hotel at fte time of his death. Before industrialist H o w a r d Hughes purchased the Desert Inn Hotel, Kolod held a 13.1 per cent in the operation and had at one time an estimated $1 million investment in the Nevada gambling industry. Kolod was part of the Cleveland - Detroit combine that financed construction of the Desert Inn Hotel for the late Wilbur Clark.
