(UPI) Missouri National Guardsmen today were to join high school students and officials in a search for new clues to the cause of Tuesday night's crash of a Continental Airlines' Boeing 707 jet which tolled all 45 persons aboard. The crash ended commercial aviation's best safety record—28 years without a fatal acicdent on Continental's routes. The enigma of the crash appeared farther than ever from solution. Civil Aeronautics Board crash probers feared they might have to extend the scope of the investigation, to Mechanicsville, Iowa, 120 miles from the crash scene. Along the Jones-Cedar counties line, near Mechanicsville and east Of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Thursday, farmers found a page from a Con- tiniental airlines hostess manual and pieces of what appeared to be a foam rubber plane seat. Based upon 4-H enrollment as compared to the potential 4-H members in the county, plus the number of members in standard clubs, Carroll County will receive a silver award during the annual 4-H Roundup at Purdue in June. Membership in the county in 1961 totaled 751, and of these, 388 were members of standard clubs. These awards have been made annually for 17 years by Prairie Farmer in cooperation with Purdue University Agricultural Extension Service. The first time a county wins an award, it receives a plaque to hang in the County Extension Office. Subsequent awards are in the form of engraved bars which are attached to the plaque. County Agricultural Agent Dale Kasten says that this is the 14lh year that Carroll County has qualified for this special merit award. This testimonial is not intended 1 to last just a few years, or ten, or twenty years but for infinitely more years. A lasting memorial, it is readily and correctly assumed, must have quality both in the material and in the craftsmanship of (tittering and design. ROCK OF AGES has recognized these basic facts for yeairs and has employed the best of both. That is why they are "Rock of Ages." No overly orante lettering, no "unique" .processes of lettering or design, but the best to be had in the art of selecting and finishing the true "lasting Monument."
