Tech Okla. St. Baylor Sooners get their first rematch since the blowout when the Huskers visit Oklahoma next week. "I know a lot of people were thinking about Oklahoma coming into this. I'm glad to get this one out of the way," center Dominic Raiola said.

"We look at every game the same, but this one -Oklahoma is one of those with something extra." After sputtering with inconsistency in the first five games, the Huskers have outscored their last' two opponents 115-3. "We've stuck to basic Nebraska running the ball up the middle football," Alexander said. "When it comes to the hard games, we'll be able to put in some plays that you haven't seen the last couple of weeks." With a 52-0 halftime lead, coach Frank Solich was able to rest most of his starters and keep them fresh for next week. The only offensive starters to play in the second half were the linemen, who were in for the opening drive of the third quarter. Starting quarterback Eric Crouch played in just the first quarter, running five times for 46 yards and a touchdown.

He was 2-for-6 passing for 23 yards. Nebraska poised for showdown with Oklahoma after easy win over Baylor. By Doug Alden The Associated Press LINCOLN, Neb. If No. 1 Nebraska was looking past Baylor to next week's game third-ranked Oklahoma, it didn't show.

The Cornhuskers 7-0, S-0 Big 12) scored on their first nine possessions and went on to a 59-0 victory. "We really dominated from the start and really just didn't make any mistakes. I think our offense can do that to anyone," said Dan Alexander who rushed for 104 yards and scored twice in Nebraska's 38-point first quarter. The Huskers outgained the Bears 189 yards to 1 in the opening quarter and didn't start a possession in their own territory. Nebraska's 38 points in the quarter topped the school record of 35, set three times, most recently against Iowa State in 1997.

It was Nebraska's most onesided win since a 69-7 victory over Oklahoma in 1997. Expires 10-31-00 Bill Rogers Honda 928 0122 Cooling System Special By Mark Ambrogi Indianapolis Star INDIANAPOLIS Virginia Tech sophomore quarterback Michael Vick has passed for 8G8 yards and produced 14 touchdowns this season.

Florida State senior quarterback Chris Weinke threw for a school-record 536 yards against Duke last Saturday. Purdue senior QB Drew Brees has 20 TDs, 17 by pass and three via the run. Nonetheless, Vick is still viewed by most as the man to beat in the Heisman Trophy race. But that doesn't mean Brees can't still win the award. Heisman watches on Web sites such as CBS SportsLine, ESPN and CNNSI all list Vick as the favorite.

Why? He racks up style points for his elusive moves and his Hokies (6-0) are ranked No. 2. "Michael Vick makes Heisman plays," ESPN college football analyst Lee Corso said. "He has hot played great football like a Heisman Trophy winner. But he makes great plays, jumps over six guys and runs 86 yards around and everybody says Those feats with his feet are guaranteed to make sports highlight shows.

"The Heisman is about exposure," ABC analyst Terry Bowden said. "When you do a triple back flip into the end zone, it gets shown 27 times every Saturday. So it comes down to a 12-second highlight video and not down to a career of good football, which is what Drew Brees has shown to me." There are 145 Heisman voters in each of six regions. The award will be presented on Dec. 9.

Vick was third and Brees fourth in the 1999 voting. Geoff Ketchum runs a survey on his HeismanWatch.com Web site where he polls five voters team each of the six regions. In this week's poll, Vick picked up 20 of the 30 first-place votes to lead comfortably. $249S with coupon Includes: Change coolant, inspect hoses and belts, pressure-test entire cooling system.
