"Get Out Your Handkerchiefs" (Times-rated: Mature). French romantic comedy. Adult theme and treatment. Subtitles. "Grease" (PG).

Some bad language and sexual innuendo. "Hair" (PG). Some bold language, nudity. "The Last Wave" (Times-rated: Mature). Surrealistic style likely to confound small fry; some scary suggestions of impending natural disaster.

"Manhattan" (R). Woody Allen, but a dark comedy for the mature only. "Players" (PG). Some sex scenes and four-letter words. "Same Tine, Next Year" (PG).

Mature romantic comedy. Some adult language. One -Acts at Theater Exchange Theater Exchange in North Hollywood, which continues a series of superior weekend productions, is keeping the house lighted midweek with one-act bills whose principal purpose appears to be showcase and workshop tune-ups. The current "West Side Windows" is no more and no less. In Pamela Lengyel's "A Matter of Perspective," Made-lyn Cates is a defrocked stripper with a wandering husband. She finds a way to pin him permanently to his easy chair. In Lengyel's "Jung on the West Side," Cates is joined by Ivy Bethune in an affectionate senior-citizen version of "StayirV Alive." Leonard Malfi's "Halloween" finds Michael Catlin and Bethune unlikely lovers for one long, windy night in Fun City.

Cates is delectable, Bethune valiant, Catlin hyperma-nic. It's an evening, more or less. Monday through final performance Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., 11855 Hart St. in North Hollywood (765-9005). -JOHN C.
