Police Called In Garment Firm Picketing LOS ANGELES, Feb 19 Police reserves were ordered to duty today in the garment district nhere violence during maft picket- Ing by AFL ladies" garment workers' union mulled in seven arrests. One woman was injured yesterday in disorders which biought arrests of three women and jour men. They were booked on tujpicion of assault. However, Mrs Audrey Noren, secretary of the Pacific Coast Garment Manufacturers' association, said a sifrvey of 15 major non-contract shops showed "production is either 95 or 100 per cent efficient" Two Injured in Freeway Accident Two persons were injured, one seriously, in a collision on the new Bayshore freeway at Millbrae road yesterday afternoon. Receiving emergency treatment at Mills hospital were Ted Johnston, 45, construction engineer of 147 Avondel road, San Carlos. He incurred head and chest injuries.

Johnston was going south on the freeway when he was rammed by a northbound car driven by Earl P. Kurtz, 63, a visitor from Hazelton, N. who was trying to make a left turn into Millbrae road. Mrs. Olga Kurtz, 57, his wife, incurred a rib injury.

Jaysee to Vote on Student Croup Whether or not the college wil become a member of the newly formed National Student associa tion is the question to be decidet by the Sail Mateo Junior college students Tuesday when they par titipate in a special election. Voting will be conducted in some classrooms and in voting booths sta tioned on all three campuses. San Mateo Junior college was the first in the California-Hawaii-Ne vada region of NSA to ratify the group's constitution last year anc provisionally agreed to join the or ganization. The voters now wil either ratify or reject the decision Heading the San Mateo NSA com mittee are Jinx Southard and John Spears. Orin H. Brown, president of Radio Diablo, said the transmitter would operate on low power for several weeks until final work could be done at the transmitter. When the station goes on its au thorized output it will have an "effective radiated power" (ERP of 250,000 watts, and will be easily heard from the Oregon border to Bakersfield. The transmitter equipment wa built by technicians of the Eitei McCullough company, with the as sistance of Dr.

Howard Armstrong inventor of FM, and is consideree by radio engineers as the greates advancement in transmitter con struction and design since the ad vent of the audio tube. A special FM transmission, from a special transmitter, will carry the programs from the San Bruno stu dips to Mount Diablo, when they wiii be broadcast. The special transmitter will broadcast on the 900 megacycle band (000,000 Idiocy cles) with a directed beam.
