Rogers, Alabama and Manchester will be headlining the third annua Zoofest '86, scheduled for Aug. 14- 16 on the zoo grounds. i Alabama will perform Aug. 14, "followed by Rogers plus opening act Tanya Tucker on Aug.

15 and Manchester with comic Dan Riley on Aug. 16. The music begins at 8 p.m. each night As in previous years, revenues from the shows will go to fund a variety of upcoming zoo projects. Once again, the concerts will be held in a temporary outdoor stadium that will be erected over a two-day period in one of the zoo's parking lots.

This time around, however, there will be 5,000 fewer seats available than last year because a new zoo exhibit has been built on part of the concert site. The "Wheelchair" video has been aired on the cable video show, Night Flight W.A.S.P. guitarist Randy Piper has left the band; the group is looking fora replacement JESUS MIDWEST FEST: The Imperials, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Carman and Russ Taff are some of the bigger names in gospel and contemporary Christian pop who will be performing at Jesus Midwest '86, a three-day festival of music and teaching that kicks off at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Sandwich Fairgrounds in Sandwich, 111. The Imperials and 2nd Chapter of Acts will perform Thursday night, with Carman and Whiteheart on the bill Friday and Taff, Dino and Silverwind scheduled for Saturday.

MORE ROCK OF AGES: Elsewhere on the "Rock of Ages" front, the 950 Nightclub, 950 W. Wrightwood will present a multimedia show called "Lawdy, Lawdy, Lawdy Artistic Impressions of God'' on Sunday. Around a dozen local artists will showcase work centering on their impressions of God; recorded music for the evening will consist of spiritually oriented music from Tibet and Africa as well as songs by Al Green, Aretha Franklin, the Violent Femmes and others.
