15 (11 a Bernadine Hayes, singer and actress LOS ANGELES (AP)-Bernadine Hayes, the onetime "Queen of Radio" who later landed film roles opposite Clark Gable and Gene Kelly, has died of a heart attack, her daughter said Tuesday. She was 75. Miss Hayes died in her sleep Aug. 29 at her Westchester-area home, said Madrine was buried last week at Holy Cross Cemetery after a funeral at St. Jerome's Catholic Church.

Miss Hayes came to Los Angeles from Chicago, where she had trained as a singer and performed as an actress. She became a band vocalist at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. "She was voted the most beau- Robert L. Mangels A memorial service for Robert L. Mangels, 71, a former Chicago-area movie theater manager, will be held at 2 p.m.

Sunday in the chapel at 415 N. Gary Carol Stream. Mr. Mangels, a West Side resident, died Aug. 25 in West Suburban Hospital Medical Center, Oak Park.

He retired in 1981 as manager of the Mercury Theatre, 7330 W. North Elmwood Park. During a 40-year career with the Balaban Katz and. Plitt Theatres chains, he managed a number of Chicago movie houses, including the Paradise, 231 N. Pulaski Rd.

Mr. Mangels is survived by a daughter, Barbara. John J. Bieg Mass for John J. Bieg, 64, of Glenview, will be said at 10 a.m.

Wednesday in St. Henry Catholic Church, 6335 N. Hoyne Ave. Mr. Bieg, an executive vice president of Bruce Co.

in Chicago, died Friday at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital. He worked at Bruce, a jewelry manufacturing and distributing company, for 28 years. He also was a certified public accountant and had a law license. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; a son, John two daughters, Jamie Seifritz and Lynn Berk; four grandchildren; and a sister. Nellie Bily Mass for Nellie Bily, 77, will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patricia Catholic Church, 9050 S. 86th Hickory Hills.

Olson Manufacturing a Chicago metal stampings firm. Mrs. Olson died July 16 in a hospital in Seal Beach, Calif. A native of Sweden, she came to the United States in 1921 and lived in the Albany Park neighborhood. She moved to Seal Beach in 1973.

Sime Charles J. Sime, 82, a south suburban accountant, died Tuesday in Olympia Fields Osteopathic Medical Center, Olympia Fields. Mr. Sime operated his own accounting firm from his Chicago Heights home. He was a past president the South Cook County Chapter of the Independent Accountants Association and the Glenwood Lions Club.

Mr. Sime is survived by a son, Charles J. a daughter, Mary Krahe; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel at 18230 S.
