Tickets to the three day event go on sale today at the participating schools.

There will be no sale of tickets at the door, so local fans must pick up their ducats ahead of time at Capuchino, the Peninsula league champion, or at Carl- mont, the South PAL cochamp. There's one other catch. Each ticket is good only for two games. Thus a fan wishing to take in all four first round games would have to purchase a ticket at Capuchino for the first two games and at Carlmont for the second pair. Both Cap and Carlmont will put 500 student and 100 adult tickets Giants Eye Gene Conley For Mound on sale today.

Price of the tickets is 50 cents for students and SI for adults. 2590 Capacity Reason for the careful assignment of tickets is that the Stanford pavilion seats only 2500 fans. With eight schools taking part in the tournament, it is easy to see that followers of all teams couldn't be fitted i the pavilion at one time. Brad Andres, 23-year-old Bridegroom from San Diego, gunned his Harley-Davidson around the 4.1-mile course at an average speed of 98.70 miles an hour and joined the ranks of two-time winners. He was victor in the 1955 race. To help pay expense of a wedding trip he and his bride are on, Andres collected $2,000 top money from the $7,500 prize fund. Dick Mann of Richmond, also astride a Harley-Davidson, came in second--2 minutes and 50 seconds behind Andres.
