Wirtz, president of the Chicago tsiacK Hawks and Chicago Stadium, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Episcopal Church, 800 Sheridan Win-nctkii. Mrs. Wirtz, 55, died Saturday in Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. Mrs.

Wirtz was chairwoman of Women of Maryville, which helps raise funds for Maryville Academy, a home for underprivileged children in Des Plaines. "She was a kind, loving and inspirational lady who always went out of her way to make you feel that you belonged' said Marilyn Esposito, who is a founder of Women of Maryville. "She was a lady who was elite but never acted as if she were better than anyone. She treated everyone well." MRS. WIRTZ for many years was a member of the women's board of the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind, Joan Roney Wirtz a rehabilitation agency that provides employment, training and programs for the blind.

Mrs. Wirtz and her daughters were active in saddle-horse shows. She' bred and raised her own stable of. championship horses. Besides her husband, Mrs.

Wirtz is survived by two sons, W. Rockwell and Peter; three daughters, Gayle, Karen and Alyson; two grandchildren; her mother, Katherine Roney; a sister; and two brothers. i You work hard for your money. Philip Fradltin, musical director of '42nd Street' New York Timet Newt Service NEW YORK Philip Fradkin, musical director of the Broadway show "42nd Street," died Saturday of injuries after being struck by a car. He was 61.

Mr. Fradkin was struck by a hit-and-run motorist early Saturday morning while trying to get a taxi-cab at 11th Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan, police said. He died a few hours later at Roosevelt Hospital. He had been musical director of the David Merrick show, which has been playing at the Majestic Theater, for the last two years. Mr.

Fradkin, who was a successful young pianist in the late 1940s and early 1950s, later became a musical director for Broadway shows and individual performers. He was musical director of "Gypsy" when it starred Angela Lansbury in 1974 and of "Timbuktu!" starring Eartha Kitt and Melba Moore in 1978. AMONG THE performers for whom he has been musical director were Mimi Benzell, Eddie Bracken, Jackie Coogan, Yvonne De Carlo, Allan Jones, Dorothy Loudon, Jane Russell and Earl Wnghtson. Survivors include three Nina Fradkin of Miami Beach, Belle Ehrlich of Los Angeles and Edith; Goodman of Brooklyn. A.

J. Foyt auto father, after a long racer's illness From Chicago Tribune wires HOUSTON A.J. Foyt 69, father of the four-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 auto race, A. J. Foyt died late Saturday in Memorial City General Hospital after a long illness.

"It was cancer," said R.A. Jones, assistant general manager of Geo. H. Lewis Sons funeral home and a friend of Mr. Foyt's.

A rosary will be said Monday night in the funeral home, and services will be held there Tuesday. Burial will be in Houston. Mr. Foyt, known as Tony, had served as chief mechanic for his only son. He also is survived by a daughter, Marlene Lemance of Houston.

A.J. Foyt Jr. returned to Houston after qualifying Saturday for next Sunday race in Indianapolis and managed to get the news to his father before he died, a hospital official said.
