HANDLIN 4 ROEDER A MURRAY BRADEN ussNtr Versatile actor Hans Conried is dead after heart attack at 64 Hans Conried Actor appeared in many popular television shows. From Tribune Wire Services HOLLYWOOD, CalifActor Hani Conried, who appeared In more than 100 movies and Broadway shows and was host of the "Fractured Flickers" television series, died Tuesday of a heart attack at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was 64.

Mr. Conried, who John Barrymore once called "one of the most versatile actors I've ever seen," also was well known for his role as Uncle Tonoose on "the Danny Thomas Show" and his starring role in "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. Besides "Fractured Flickers," a parody of movies, he also was host of the "Pantomime Quiz" television series and was a panelist on the "What's It For" and "Take a Guess" quiz shows, HOSPITAL representative fthoda Weiss said Mr. Conried entered the hospital Sunday after suffering an acute heart attack. She said the actor, who had a history of heart problems and suffered a stroke during a dinner theater performance in 1974, first felt the new chest pains while performing in a play a month ago.

He suffered a second major heart attack Monday night and died a few minutes before noon Tuesday. His wife of 40 years, Margaret, and several other family members were at his bedside. Mr. Conried, tall and thin with perfect diction and a variable voice heard in hundreds of a founding member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA). HE ALSO APPEARED In the movies "Oh God, Book II," "The Cat from Outer Space," "My Friend Trma" in.

1949, "Bus Stop" in 1956 and "Dramatic School," his first film, in 1937; He appeared as a television guest star recently on ''The George Burns Christ-mas Special," "Love Boat," "Fantasy Island," "Alice" and "Laverne and Shirley." In addition to his wife, Mr. Conried is survived by four children: Trilby, III, 28; Alexander, 26; and Edith, Elmer Schlesinger rites set helped found Hart Schaffner 4 Marx in 1887. His mother, the late Halle Schaffner, was a writer and editor. His late fntbftr KlW Schlinr was a prominent lawyer in Chicago, New York and Washington and later married Eleanor Medill "Cissy" Patterson, publisher of the Washington Times Herald, which was acquired by the Washington Post. Mr.

Schlesinger was a senior director of Hart Schaffner Marx and active for years In civic and cultural organizations. He is survived by his wife, Norma; a son, Sumner; a daughter, Susan; and two stepsons, Paul and Andrew Spiegel. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Elmer "Pete" Schlesinger, 62, a California businessman and grandson of a founder of Hart Schaffner Marx, Chicago-based clothing firm, will be Wednesday at the San Francisco Yacht Club. Mr. Schlesinger died Monday.

Mr. Schlesinger, a World War II Navy flyer, founded Helicopter Services of California after the war and became presi. dent of the Helicopter Association of America. He was associated for a time with Pacific Far East Line and later became a partner in the Cardoza Book Binding Co. Mr.

MACOMB, for Ray "Rock" Hanson, 85, former Western Illinois University athletic director and football coach, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. George's Episcopal Church in Macomb. Mr. Hanson, who coached the university's football teams from 1926 through 1942, died Monday in McDonough Hospital here.
