Zip Rev. Herbert Armstrong of Lake Zurich REV. HERBERT J. Armstrong, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ of Lake Zurich, was a former chairman of the Chicago Metropolitan Association of United Churches of Christ.

He was active in meeting the health and mental health needs of the community. Services for Rev. Armstrong, 54, of Lake Zurich, will be at 3 p.m. Friday in St. Peter Church, 47 Church Lake Zurich.

He died Tuesday in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. 'rHe had a way about him that reached people," said John Kusta, president of the St. Peter Church Council. "He was a really warm and sensitive person who had a lot of respect in the community. The sisters from the local Catholic school came over to his church to help him celebrate his 15th anniversary as pastor.

In his sermons, he had a rare gift for people with health problems. We transcribed his sermons, and I often gave them to such individuals." REV. ARMSTRONG was past president of the Bensenville Home Society, a former board member of the Evangelical Hospital Association of Chicago and a former member of the board of the Lake County Mental Health Association. He was a founder and was active on the board of Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. He was ordained in 1955 and served two years in a church in Broadlands, 111.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Kristin; his mother, Goldie Armstrong; and a brother. Survivors also include two sons, Steven and Randy; a daughter, Bonnie Lynn Podolsky Fell; four grandchildren; her parents, Ada and Ben Lovitt; and a brother. Survivors include her husband, Harold; two sons, Tom and Scott; a daughter, Ellen Rea Kuroghlian; her mother, Agnes Thompson; a grandson; and a sister. George S.

Kelly Mass for George S. Kelly, 86, a former Chicago businessman, will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1633 N. Cleveland Ave.

Mr. Kelly died Tuesday in Sarasota, his home for the last 14 years. While in Chicago he owned Sharon Mortgage Co. Survivors include his wife, Evelynne; a son, Robert; a stepson, Dale Stahl; 2 daughters, Ruth Bolen and Dione Staley; 2 sisters; and 10 grandchildren. Dr.

Miss Sleeper, born in Lake Bluff, 111., started in movies at age 12 in a Hal Roach comedy called "The Mailman." She went on to become a star and played with Noel Coward in "The Scoundrel." Miss Sleeper made her Broadway debut in 1934 in "Good Men and True," a play about a jury of men and women who are locked up to- play by Moss Hart about an agonizing divorce as seen through the eyes of the son. Miss Sleeper played the wile and mother.
