I THE WORLD, SUNDAY, JULY 4, 1971 Page 3 Registration is now open -m or learn-to-swiin- classes Registration is how being accepted for the Park District of Oak Park's learn- to-swim classes. The second session will begin July 12 and will continue for three weeks. Openings are still available for all class times but it is not known how long this situation will last. Classes are set up to handle children through all stages of swim development from the beginner through senior lifesaving and when determining eligibility, height instead of age, is the deciding factor. To participate, children must be 36 inches from the chin to the floor for the Ridgeland Common pool and 39 inches for Rehm pool.

In case of cool weather, both pools are heated for the children's comfort and should it rain, lessons are held indoors. Programs are headed by Kay Bailey at Rehm and Susie Hildebrand at Ridgeland Common. Both girls have been involved in the park district learn-to- swim program for several years and have excellent qualifications. All classes are limited to 10 persons per instructor so each child receives the necessary individual training to make these classes worthwhile on all levels. I For further information on all Park District of Oak Park organized pool programs, call 848-9661.
