The ordinance, modeled after one passed by Mt Morris in July, 1939. regulates the licensing of theatres, and imposes strict lequlrements for fireproof corstiuction. sanitation and safety It requires each person proposing to open a theatre in Galena to fcubmit io the council full plans for his theatie. with a fee of S150 to cover investigating expense, and provides thai no proposed theatre shall cost less than 540,000.
