Rockford. The speaker chose as his subject. "Our Blessings." He referred to ttw first Thanksgiving day in 1630 when Pilgrims gave thanks for their abundant harvest. In developing his talk, Rev. Mlllhouse built up an acrostic using the word "Blessing." and taking each letter to form words that showed the true meaning of the theme of his talk.

The first letter chosen was used to stand for the Bible and many Illustrations from the life of Christ were used. The speaker chose the quotation "Either the Bible will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the Bible" as a thought to be considered. The second letter. represented "love." "Racial and religious intolerance in Europe. Asia and other parts of the world can be prevented by Christian love." said the speaker was used to represent "enthusiasm" and the two "s's" were used to form the words Saviour and salvation.

The letter "1" was added to form the word "instruction." Christian Endeavor Is an organization where young people receive training for leadership said the speaker. Carrying the acrostic still farther, the letter became the word "name," the speaker mentioning that young people should make thelr name and Christian Endeavor stand for something worthwhile. Finally the letter was formed into the word "glory." Song Contot At the close of the address, a song contest was presented by Miss Rose Inna Blcknell of Second Presbyterian church. Miss BlckneJl stated that the contest was open to all Endeavors of Stephenson county and is for the purpose of obtaining a county Christian Endeavor song that could be sung at all rallies and conventions. This contest is to continue for one month and all entries must be sent to Rose Inna Blcknell before Dec.
