LIBRARY fKoTay Evening, May 18, 195? 'Open House' Set For 2 New Suburban Homes 2 of 5 Children n Family Die Within 24 Hours The Pattee Construction Company, of 401 W. Clinton St., will present their latest in excellent suburban .living on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and, 20 at their Timbercrest Addition, 'northeast of Logansport. The company will have two homes on view during their open house festivity. One house will be completely furnished and the second will be in a stage of construction. By having both homes on display, one finished and one nearly finished, open house visitors will have an opportunity to .inspect the qualities of both. THE TWO HOMES on display will be constructed of two striking architectural contrasts. One is of modern design, utilizing a unique Japanese gable roof plan, and the second is colonial in style. Both are constructed of • brick and aluminum. Both homes have full basements, three luxurious bedrooms, all copper plumbing, quality fixtures, wood windows with thermo- pane windows, a sliding thermo- pane glass door- in each leading to a covered back porch and two- car garages. The one home that is furnished for. the open house has been furnished through the courtesy of the .H. Wiler Co. The modern style home.has been furnished. ' TIMBERCREST is still being developed. Open house visitors are invited to view the already completed homes in the addition and observe how the owners have landscaped their grounds to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Each lot in the addition has trees in various stages of growth which provides shade without the long wait for adequate growth. Representatives of the construe, tion company will be on hand to explain additional home designs and floor plans that are available in various price ranges and to explain the types of material used in .the construction of the homes. THEY WILL have information on framing, wall covering, heat ing system, wiring, roof construction, floor joists, thickness of plywood, plasterboard, .flooring,, weight of shingles, type of siding, insulation and the many other important items that go into construction of a quality-built home. The Indiana 1962 traffic fatality toll reached 373 -today, 39 more than the number killed by this time last year, with ihe death of a Knox man in an accident' near that town. Wendell Davis Norem, 21, lost control of his-oar on a U.S. ; 35 curve three miies south of Knox. The car skidded across the road and hit a tree.
