Twenty-four Logansport-Indiana Pharos-Tribune Annual Mental Health Meet Next Week , -The annual election of officers, a'panel discussion of local mental health problems, and a movie on Community Mental Health-will be features of the annual membership meeting of the Cass County Association for Mental Health to be-held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, in the YWCA annex. .''Members of the panel who will ffiscuss mental health problems tha't have been brought to their attention by local citizens in need of help are: Dr. Donald K. Win- teiv local physician; Mrs. Jean Bile, executive director of the Association; Prosecutor' Earl Palmer; Donald Grain, local school -attendance officer; and the Eev. Raymond Skelton, Cass probation officer. Justice of the Peace Don Freehafer will serve as moderator. . , A question and answer period will follow the interchange of ideas by the panel. The education committee, headed by Mrs. Leland' Smith, is in charge of the program. New directors will be elected for three-year terms at the meet-, ing. A brief meeting of the .board for the election of the new officers will follow the general membership meeting. 'The public is. invited to attend the' meeting, .according to Donald Grain, president of the Association. Refreshments will be 'served. , According to a recent study, the average, monthly family expenditure for soft drinks is $4.48. Soft drink manufacturers spent $9.8 million in 1960 to advertise their products nationally in daily newspapers.
