TOursJay Evening, May IT, Logansport, Indiana, Pharos-Tribuns Seven PERU— MiamiCounty Organization Plans Meet PERU — The Representative Assembly of Miami County, Ind., has scheduled its first meeting for 8 p.m.' Thursday at the Peru Junior High School. James Butcher, • chairman of the Howard County Planning Commission, will be. the featured speaker. Officials said that 80 organiza tions have indicated interest in. participating in the newly-formed organization. • Major problems to be discussed at the initial meeting include a city-county airport and county zoning. The June 14th meeting will be held in the North Miami -high School and the third meeting in the Bunker Hill High School, Wilbur Hunt, president.of the organization, extends an invitation to all organizations in the cil'y to be represented. on the assembly. Other officers include Joe Bals' baugh, rural.route 1, Macy, first vice-president; John Fraley, Con verse, second vice-president; ant James Volpert, Peru attorney secretary-treasurer. Sign Agreement The Miami County Commission crs met with two representatives of the Millcreek Stone and Grave Corp., rural route 2; Wabash Wednesday, and were advised that the Corporation would seel to obtain a written agreemen from the contractor to protec the county on any damage-to it roads and bridges which migh occur during the construction o the Mississinewa Reservoir. The indemnity agreement is be submitted to the contractor Charles H. Shook, Inc., Dayton 0., for approval. The Millcreek representative said they were hauling stone an gravel from near Rich Valley an would furnish the needed mater als to repair the roads if damaged The Commissioners will mee in regular session next Monday. Graduation Dr. Merrill McFall, pastor o the First Methodist Church, Co lumbus, Ind., will give the com . mencement address at the Pen High School's graduation exer cises to be held Friday evening. The commencement program will start at 8 p;m. Friday in th Tig-Arena. Pian Canvass The Citizens Aid Committee ha voted to make a house-to-hous canvass of the city to determin the amount of labor and industrla skills are available. A meeting of the work force i scheduled for May 28th with th canvass to be planned at tha time. Caughi In Check Marvin D. Wolk, 27, of Ambo. was arrested Wednesday after noon by Deputy Sheriff Josep Tucker at McGrawsville. Wolf i wanted in Henry County on charge of issuing a fradulen check. Wolf has been souglit by .count officials for the past several day and was apprehunded by Deput Tucker as he was getting his ca inspected in the vehicle safel check being conducted at Me , Grawsville.
