IX ANOTHER murder, Cook County sheriff's police on Thursday were still trying to learn the identity of a woman whose partially decomposed body was found by three young boys last Friday in the Tampier Lake Forest Preserve near 131st Street and Will-Cook Road in Lemont Township. According to Investigator James Houlihan of the sheriff's police, the woman, aged about 35 to 45, had been strangled. It was not known how long she had been dead. The woman had the name "Joe" tattooed over her right breast and the number "64" tattooed beneath that. By John O'Brien A BODY FOUND stabbed to death in southeast Du Page County was identified Thursday as that of a 19-year-old Summit woman.

Police said Linda Sue Rhein, of 7216 Park Summit, was identified through dental charts. Miss Rhein was last seen alive on Monday at 10 a.m. THE BODY WAS found Wednesday by a jogger alongside a field near 87th and Madison streets, south of Burr Ridge. Police said the girl had eight deep stab wounds in the front and back. She had apparently been stabbed as she tried to run from her assailant.

"I think she was killed where she was found," said Coroner Peter Siekman. He said she may have been slain after jumping from a vehicle. Visitation Friday only 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of iVri WASHINGTON AP-The Environmental Protection Agency will temporarily ban the use of DBCP, a pesticide which has caused sterility in men and cancer in laboratory animals. Barbara Blum, EPA deputy administrator, made the announcement Thursday. "We've concluded that DBCP's risks outweigh its benefits, at least during the time it will take to consider a permanent ban," Mrs.

Blum said. Mrs. Blum said the EPA decided to take the action because of "recent findings of DBCP residues on certain crops, In some drinking water supplies, and in the air near spray sites." THE BAN on the use of DBCP will become effective in five days, unless manufacturers contest the order by requesting a public hearing, Mrs. Blum said. If a hearing is conducted, the bun could be delayed for approximately 60 days, Mrs.

Blum said. DBCP is used on cotton, soybeans, peaches, pineapples, citrus and other fruits, nuts, lawns, golf courses, and ornamental plants. The EPA banned its use on some vegetables two years ago. California banned the pesticide for all uses in 1977. THE PESTICIDE is used to kill nematodes which attack plant roots.

The latest action follows new evidence of possible DBCP dangers, Mrs. Blum said. During the temporary suspension, Mrs. Blum said, the EPA will conduct cancellation hearings to determine whether the pesticide should be permanently banned, a move that could take a year. ers, conations to American i-ance len; beloved father of Carolyn (Dr.
