Taube was a member of -the Troy Hill Chapter of the -American Association of Retired CSA Lodge, and Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Miller of Troy Hill and 'Betty Jane Goettman of Ross; sisters, Agnes Gairing of and Elsie Tomczyk and Roseanne Griffith, both of Michigan; two brothers, James Yedlicka of Reserve and Karel Yedlicka of Florida; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 21, 1947, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Natoma G. Haught Kerr and the fate Charles W. Kerr. Mrs. Recker-Alston was an apartment manager for L.W.

Molnar Associates. She was an executive board member and firefighter for the KUbuck Volunteer Fire Company, and she also belonged to Hiland Presbyterian Church. Born May 5, 1917, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena Frisoli Veri. Survivors include one cousin, Clare Collier of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Veri and Angelo Veri. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Glenn -Kildoo Funeral Home, Zelienople.

Naomi Neely Mars Naomi Neely, 71, died Tuesday, Nov, 3,1992, at North pis Passavant Hospital. Mrs. Neely was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Neely; four daughters, Diane Joiner of Despunta, Ronna Ferringer of Butler, Marsha Clemens of Connoquenessing, and Cheryl Secunda of Flagler Wanner A. Schran Ross Wanner A.

Schran, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 3,1992, at his home. Mr. Schran was the director and former treasurer for West View Savings Bank He was a member of the North Hills Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, the Pennsylvania Consistory, and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perrysville.

He is survived by two brothers, Milton H. Schran ofRoss and Robert G. Schran of Shaler; one sister, Pearl G. Yanosov of Monroeville; and nieces and nephews. Services and burial will be private.

Council examines ways Jo fundi Northland Library council wUnneet with Marshall supervisors at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to talk about new ways to pay for Northland Library, which serves both communities. Northland wants Franklin Park to pay on a tri-funding method based on number of books checked out, population and borough property assessments. The borough currently pays its allotment based on a 1990 census. Library officials want a different system.

HAMPTON Municipal Authority flushes 100 fire hydrants The Hampton Township Municipal Authority recently flushed 100 fire hydrants in the Mary Ann Drive-subsystem to comply with the Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Act. In August, two random samples of water in the area detected minimal amounts of the coliform bacterium. The state then required the authority to flush the hydrants. Officials have resampled the area several times since then. No bacteria was detected, and officials say there is no health risk MARSHALL Residents will have to wait another month to find out whether an alcohol treatment facility will move into an abandoned school on Northgate Drive.

Horizons Facilities of Mt. Lebanon has been given its third extension. One of Horizon's board of directors could not attend tonight's supervisor's meeting, when a vote on the center was scheduled to be taken. The vote now is expected Dec. 2.

Horizons wants to renovate the former Warrendale Elementary I School into a treatment facility for 30-day programs for up to 65 men. But the township must determine whether Horizons' plan meets the zoning ordinance as a health center. Officials do not expect the decision to be delayed December. AVALON Council will purchase a third police car To help patrol this community of 5,884, the council will buy a third police car by December. Police have six full-time and seven part- time officers.

They share two police cars, one of which has 170,000 miles on CRANBERRY Supervisors ask residents to solve traffic problems To help untangle traffic at the Robinhood Drive-Freedom Road intersection, the supervisors want residents to suggest solutions at a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The intersection often backs up at rush hour. Officials met once with residents in September, but no final decision was made, ideas include a traffic light at Robinhood and Freedom or at Freedom and Commonwealth Drive. The township also may consider extending Robinhood to Commonwealth.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY RICHLAND WEST DEER Supervisors approve 1993 police budget The supervisors on Monday approved a 1993 budget for the Pine-Marshall-Bradford Woods Police Department. The contract is for $972,000. Police have 11 full-time officers to cover the three municipalities, which include 9,387 residents. 100 students of art teacher Diane Oberst incorporated Bearden's cut paper-picture collage technique for the contest, which drew entries from 15 school districts in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. Each student at Ross made a cut-paper person which was then glued to the background of their mural, which included a fluorescent rainbow. The children also pasted clippings and artifacts of things that are important to them, such as ticket stubs from sporting events.
