He was elected at the annual Red Cross meeting. Other officers are Elaine Tillman, Rochester, executive secre tary; Mrs. Tom Hauperf, Henry township, and Mrs. Elmer Zimmerman, Rochester, new board members; James W. Zimmerman, blood program; Clarence Schultz, disaster- chairman; Mrs. Bill Byerline, first aid; Mrs. Fred Robinson, Grey Ladies; Miss Olive Gillespie, chapter treasurer; William Freyberg, publicity. The fund drive committee headed by Estel Bemenderfer, and assistants, Mrs. Nellie McGrew, Mrs. Marion Chizum, Mrs. Carl Herrold, Mrs. Charles Grizzel, Mrs. Forrest Pfeiffer, Mrs. Lorraine Hatfield, and Mrs. Wayne Mikesell. PERSONALS Mrs. Pascal Porter returned Friday from a visit with Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Calvert of Marion. .Mrs. Bessie Cummings was dismissed to her home from the Woodlawn hospital Saturday, and is slowly recovering from an injured knee, suffered in a fall in the spring. Sunday dinner quests of Mr. and Mrs. Aaj-on Mohler were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gordon and Mr. and.Mrs. Richard Zer- nnck, all ot this city. A carry in dinner was served at noon. The Foster and Good ambulance took Dallas Smith, a resident of the Green Oak community, to the Billings hospital in Chicago, Sunday. They also brought Jay Sanders from his Lake Manitou home to the Woodlawn hospital Sunday. Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry McVay were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Justus, Mrs. Mary Scroxton and Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Holland, all of this city. Mrs. Edna Ward left Saturday to spend a month in her daughter's home in Memphis, Tenn. COUKT NOTES An affidavit charging third degree burglary has been filed in Fulton circuit court against George B. Tyrl, 31, Dainville, 111. The charge came as the result of a robbery at Harvey's Dime Store, Rochester, last Tuesday. Tyrl is charged with taking $70 from the store. Arrested Friday on Indiana 14, east of Rochester, Murel Brugh, was charged with DUI, second offense. His previous conviction was in Louis Alt's Athens court on July 20, 1951. Glenn Homer Johnston, arrested by the sheriff's department May 6 on Olsen road northeast of the city, is' charged with DUI in another circuit affidavit. A damage suit for $26,000 has been venued to Fulton circuit court from Cass county. Filed by John Keitzcr against Cass county Board of Commissioners, and William P. Loner and Sons Inc. who seeks a jury trial. His wife, Betty Jo, sustained injuries on Oct. 29, 1958, when she fell while walking up the basement stairs of the Cass County Courthouse in Logansport, for which he seeks the damages. William A. Butler, rural route 3, Rochester, has filed suit for divorce from Faye Jean Butler, Phenix City, Ala.
