Times Cups for Achievement Eleven women of distinguished achievement have been named 1969 Times Women of the Year. Nearly 500 civic leaders, friends and relatives applauded as silver cups engraved "For Outstanding Achievement" were awarded Monday afternoon in Harry Chandler-Auditorium of The Times Building JFimes Mirror Square. The honorees join 192 recipients chosen since the awards were inaugurated in 1950 by Mrs. Norman Chandler, assistant to the chairman of the board, Times Mirror. Subsequent editions will carry full-length profiles of each recipient.
