Two Lincolnites Are Betrothed Saturday Designated as Poppy Day Next Saturday has been designated as Poppy Day, according to Mrs. Raymond Elam, poppy chairman of Auxiliary to the American Legion Post 3. Nearly 100 Auxiliary members will offer poppies or. tne streets of Linco'r. throughout the day.

The poppies are made by patients in Veterans Hospitals. Poppy making gives veterans gainful employment and the work is con- aidered occupational therapy. Contributions made by those who wear poppies go entirely to rehabilitation of veteran patients mud to the child welfare funds of the Legion Auxiliary. These funds are used to aid families of veterans. Mrs.
