Preparation of Davis Rehearing Petition Begun Preparation of a petition for rehearing on the Appellate Court decision which held that Harold L. Davis, former Chief Deputy District Attorney under Asa Keyes, was convicted upon the uncorroborated evidence of an accomplice, was started yesterday by Chief Deputy District Attorney Stewart and Assistant Attorney-General Richards. The District Attorney will attempt to prove that Ben GetzofT, whose testimony convicted Davis, was an innocent agent of Ed Rosen berg and not an accomplice. Davis was convicted in Superior Judee Wilson's court of accepting a $7500 bribe to "lay down" on the prosecution of Rosenberg in the Julian case. Davis is now at liberty under $10,000 bail after spending nine months in the County Jail while awaiting appeal.
