Phillips, 77, passed away at her home on ville road, north of Freeport, today after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held In Damascus Baptist church at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. J. M. Madden will charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at the Elchmeler Becker funeral home, West Stephenson street. Florence Amanda Masters born in Washington county, land, March 13, 1870. She WAS brought by her parents, William and Barbara Hoffman Masters, to Illinois when six weeks old. Early in life she united with Baptist church and when the Damascus church was organized she became a charter member. Her marriage to Charles Phillips took place Oct.

1, 1890. She leaves her husband and the follow-: ing children, Chester, Ralph, David Phillips, Mrs. Willinm J. (Edith) Meyers, Mrs. Orville A.

(Allce) Kahly, Mrs. I.co R. (Ermina) Kaiser, Mrs. Roscoe R. (Coralyn) Mitchell, Miss Rose Phillips, all residing within Stephenson county.

Nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild also survive. Four brothers and four sisters also survive, Harvey, Warren: Charles, BeJolt; Aaron, Stockton; Francis, Lena; Mrs. Addle Van Sickle, Rock City; Mrs. Blanche Hudson, Urbana: Mrs. Charles Roe, Miss Lydia Masters, Lena.

Four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Charles Gillespie Mt. Carroll, 111., March Charles Gillespie, 82, passed awey about 3:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of her son, Francis Gillespie, northwest of Mt. Carroll.

Mrs. Gillespie, formerly Miss Clarice Haven, WAS born at -Mazomanle, oh Dec. 3, 1864, the daughter of Handford and Margaret Haven, and on June 28, 1892. WAS united in marriage to Charles Gillespie, who died in 1941. She leaves one son, Francis Gillespie, residing near Mt.

Carroll, two brothers, Handford Haven, of Chicago, William, of Racine, one sister, Miss Emma, Haven, of Chicago, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Christian funeral chapel. Rev. Stanley A. Birdsall will officiate and burial will be made in Zion cemetery, near Mt.
