3 Special Advertising Supplement 3fl PIT PffBTSBl PART OF THE MIRACLE MILE Dunes Hotel anchors the southwest corner of town The Dunes Hotel and Country Club is a hub of fabled Las Vegas action. Geographically, the resort anchors the southwest corner of an intersection shared by the MGM Grand, Caesars Palace and the Flamingo Hilton. The Strip is the four-mile portion of U.S. Highway 91 that contains much neon, casino footage and celebraties. The Dunes Miracle Mile includes the 18-hole Emerald Green championship golf course and Country Club that extends the full mile to the rear of the hotel, from Tropicana Boulevard to the south to Dunes Flamingo Road on the north.

The golf course is the biggest in the state of Nevada 7,240 yards. Five man-made lakes frame the fairways, which attract golfers from other Las Vegas hotels. A new, 400-room tower opened in De- cember 1979, joining the high-rise Dia-mond of the Dunes to make a total of 1,300 rooms. There are five tennis courts that are free to guests. Men's and women's health clubs are available.

Dining at the Dunes is 24-hours a day in the Savoy Room. The Sultan's Table surpasses what its name suggests in gourmet eating and service. The Dome of the Sea features seafood and a view. Ar-turo Romero's violins play nightly for the Sultan and Kippy Lou entertains in the Dome. Top 0' the Dunes restaurant features the Queen Elizabeth buffet daily.

By night, the Top becomes a nightclub and mellow disco, featuring name entertainment and dancing. Downstairs in the big showroom, the long-running "Casino de Paris" is presented twice nightly, unveiling a cast of 100 dancers, mannequins and specialty enterainers. In the Royal Box Lounge, just off the main casino, there is live entertainment. The Dunes also offers two swimming pools, a laundry and dry cleaning plant and a staff of more than 2,300 employees. Recently augmented by space in the new wing, the Dunes convention facilities are complete and service-oriented.

A new shopping arcade affords 9 selections of shops and boutiques. The Dunes is the future home of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, where mementos of ring glory will be enshrined and funds will be funneled to benefit former boxers. Completion is estimated for 1983. The new skyscraper, which opened in December 1979, is crowned by the luxurious suites. Multilevel layouts, lavish foliage and waterfalls are part of the exotic decor.
