Must have been a football fan. Anyway, he's getting his wish. ABC, which misses out in the playoff games and Super Bowl each year, gets the final NFL game of the season, the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, sometimes called the So-What Bowl or Why-Bother Bowl. But the game has some justification for the players after expenses, the TV rights and gate monies go into the NFL player pension fund.

The players and coaches, by ballot, select members of their squads, so there's some pride in knowing a player has been honored by his peers in being named to the squad. And it's a fun trip this year to Hawaii, where the game is being played in Aloha Stadium in Honolulu which, one of these years, will be the home stadium of an NFL franchise. Kickoff time here Sunday is 1 p.m. (10 a.m., Honolulu time) over Channels 7, 3 and 10. How would you like to be the coach of a team that has the likes of Roger Staubach, Archie Manning, Ottis Anderson, Walter Payton, Rich Saul, Dennis Harrah, Tony Hill, Lee Roy Selmon, Jack Youngblood, Randy White and Cliff Harris available? They're on coach Tom Landry's NFC team.

When coach Don Coryell of the AFC team looks down the bench he can call on Terry Bradshaw, Dan Fouts, Franco Harris, Earl Campbell, Mike Webster, John Stall-worth, Dave Casper, Joe Greene, Randy Gradishar, L.
