Announcement is made today of the engagement of Missy Grayston, daugh- te'- of Mrs. R. L. Owens of Webb City and 3. M.

Grayston of Sedalia. to Jim Hunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Palma Hunter of St. Louis, formerly of Webb Cry.

Both are graduates of Webb City high school. Miss Grayston formerly lived in Joplin and is a great niece of Mrs. Grover James. She now is a sophomore at Central State college in Warrensburg, and is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Mr.

Hunter is a junior in the school of engineering at the University of Missouri and has been a star football player on the varsity He is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Dwyer of Kansas City announce, the engagement of their daughter.

Joan, to Robert Francis Clayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis L. Clayton, 407 West street. Miss Dwyer is attending the University of Missouri and will graduate in January from the school of education.

She belongs to Delta Delta Delta sorority. Mr. Clayton was recently graduated from the University- of Missouri, where he received a degree in business administration. He is affiliated with the Sigma Nu fraternity. He now makes his home in Denver, Colo.

Donald P. LaBarre of Richland, Mo. Miss Root a graduate of 'Junction City, high school and is a junior at Kansas State college, Manhattan. Mr. LaBarre, who is a native of Giessen, Germany, also was graduated from Junction City high school is a pre-medical student at Kansas State.

-He is a member of Delta Upsflon fraternity. No date has been announced for the wedding. Mr. Root is, rector of Grace Episcopal church in Carthage. Announcement is made of the marriage of Ellen F.

Johnson, daughter of Mrs. Viola E. Johnson of Manchester, N. and NValter W. Johnson, of Rochester, N.

to Paul Norman liollingsworth of Galena, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Hollings- of Galena. The wedding took place November 12 in the North Main Street Congregation church in Rochester, N.

H. The bridegroom is serving in the air force. They will reside at 52 Rimmon street, Manchester. Mr. and MIJS.

Clarence Loflin, 314 North Schifferdecker avenue, announce the marriage of her daughter, Miss Lucy Andrews, to George F. Guenzel, son of Mrs. Marie Guenzel of Carthage. The wedding look place October in the First Christian church in Carthage. The bride was a senior in Joplin high school.

The groom attended Carthage schools and business college, and served four years in the navy. They will be at home in Sioux City, S. D. Mr. and Mrs.

J. E. Causby, 304 Hannum street, Carterville, announce the engagement of their daughter. Miss Monnie Causby (above), to Terry Jeffries, son of Mr. and Mrs.

O. E. Jeffries, 305 Locust street, Carterville. Miss Causby and her fiance are seniors in CarterviHe high school. The groom-elect is planning to attend Pittsburg State Teachers college.

No definite date has been announced for the wedding. Ralph Osborn of Columbus, announces the engagement cf his daughter, M'ss Rachel Jean Osborn, to Charles Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson of Columbus. Miss Osborn is a senior in Paverton high school.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Jliverton high school and is employed by the Davison Chemical Company of Joplin. The wedding has been planned for the spring. Miss Sue Ellen Dale, daughter of Mrs. Gordon Dale, 1515 Bird avenue, and the late Mr. Dale, was photographed as above in her ice pink wedding gown, worn at her marriage 1o Robert Lee Long, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Robert W. Long, 1520 Connor avenue, on November 33. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Dr.

Otto C. Seymour and was followed by a reception. The bride is a sophomore in Joplin Junior college. The groom, who is stationed in the air force, has received overseas photo.) Niswonger of Chattanooga. The bride is a granddaughter of Mrs. J. W. Lane of Webb City and the late Mr.

Lane, and Ir. and Mrs. P. N. Niswonger of Springfield.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Solis of Floresvilie, Tex,.
