Dear Sir A lew dsrs after the Fourth of Jul last I got my bf hurt by a tellow workman letting a plank fail, which struck on the knee. For four month, following I was under the treatment ol the physician, at the IMspansary, at th end of which time they told me they could do nothing more for me, and that I must goto the hospital and 'have my leg anipttrd above the knee. I wa. removed to tk. hospital, and ay there ten week, under the treat eat of the beat skill the hospitaiaJEjrded, aod no pen can describe the great auflering I endured.

My leg was swollen to nearly the site of my body, and all the surface of my knee turned black, and I was told that my knee wsj so diseased as to render it impossible to save sir kg, and unkaa It amputated soon I would die. When I first went to the hospital, I raised such an objection to the amputation of my teg, they consented to try one aK Wnative, which waato cat out. all the diseased nesh and replace It with aouadfleah faun the ether lg. They did cut six piece from my well leg, and plate It where the diseased flesh had been removed but the bone was so much diseased that this experiment proved a failure, and I was removed to my home in a hopeless condition. Other physician, were employed, until all the money which I had aaed from my earning, bad been expended; and one thing after another disposed of to pay doe tor', bill, until my family wa in a destitute condition, with no hope for mvself except relief by death.

At thl. time Mr. Hill, the police officer in my street, called in to see me, and, after rendering pecuniary assistance to my family, brought some Yee etin for me, urging me to give it a faithful trial, saying when those two bottle were fone be would see that I had tome more. After I ad been taking the. Vegetine three day the ulcer uf mr knee commenced to discharge, and I can not begin to describe tha frightful quantity that was discharged during the following eight days: and though previously I had suffered inde cribable pain, rendering sleep impossible, after taking the Vegetine three days the pain all left me, and my whole complaint seemed to be pouring out of me with this corrupted matter.

The Vegetine was not only farcing disease from me, but it gave me strength from day to day. When I commenced en the fourth bottle of Vegetine the had all left my leg, and the sore which covered the whole turface. of my knee commenced to heal next to th. bone. I tm now on the sixth bottle; the sore to entirely healed, and my health so improved as to enable me to walk all over town.

The Vegetine has saved my life. It has care! my leg, and restored me to health; my knee bears the marks of my great suffering, and it will always afford me pleasure to show the proof of what this good medicine has done for me. i lam, dear sir. very gratefully, JOHN WELCH, 93 Kneeknd it. The Policeman's Statement.

The above statement is true. I procured the Vegetine for him, and observed hi condition from the time he commenced to use it until be was cured. WILUAMB. HILL, police officer, station Boston, Mass. VEGETIXE, Safe and Sure.

Ma. H. B. Stkvkss: In 1872 your Vegetine was recommended to me, and, yielding to the persuasion of friends, consented to try U. At the time I was suffering from general debility and nervous prostration, superinduced by overwork and irregular habits.

It wonderful strengthening and curative properties seemed to affect my debilitated system from tb'e" first dose, and under its persistent use 1 rapidly recovered, gaming, more than Usual health and good feeling, Since then I have not hesitated to give Vegetine my most unqualified endorsement as being a safe, sure, and powerful agent in promoting health and restoring tne wuted system to new life and energy. Vegetine is the only medicine I use, and as long as I live I never expect to find a better. Yours trulv, H. Clark, 120 Monterey street, Alleghany, Penn. TEGETINE Prepared by 117 R.
