"Lots of ink. We're going back to Milwaukee and we're going to take the Packers apart. I want to tell everybody about it." The Ram publicity staff was delighted. They went to work. After practice on the road the day before the Packer game, five different members of the media, print and electronic, were waiting to interview Iman a world record for centers.

Teele told Iman. "What? What do you think I am?" Iman growled. "I'm no glory hound. Get those idiots out of here. I'm not talking to any of those bums." If your name happens to be Jack Teele, the old center is the kind of guy you remember most across the seasons.

"I never met a Ram I didn't like," Teele insisted. "Well, maybe one or two or two dozen." Teele, 47, Long Beach State grad, former Army intelligence officer, onetime sportswriter, is the dean of the Ram front office these days. He's in his 18th season spanning the coaching reigns of Bob Waterfield, Harland Svare, George Allen, Tommy Prothro and Chuck Knox. He began in 1960 as the club's publicist. Before that, he covered the Rams for three seasons for the Long Beach Independent Press -Telegram.

He's been the Ram public relations director, general manager, assistant to the president and administrative assistant. Although Super Bowl Tournament '77, touched off with cannons via spectacular opening acts by AFC candidates Oakland and Denver, is at full boil, this is also the week between Christmas and New Year's the time of Auld Lang Syne. So what is Josephson? He's No. 4 career rusher, and he made more clutch catches than any back we've ever had. "Cowan was like Iman and Richter, sheer guts. He'd pull himself up so slow after each play you knew he'd never make the next one. For 15 years, I never thought he'd last another play.

Ski was the total pro. He didn't have the natural ability. But through sheer determination, he just kept getting the job done and getting better every season." There's a recurring theme among Teele's memorables. Almost all hung in against the odds and hung in over a distance, and that's the message for the Rams of the moment as well as everybody else. TV Replay Plan Offered for Controversial Calls WASHINGTON (UPI)-NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle has before him a proposal from a sports consumer group for a system of limited videotape replays of controversial calls in football games. In a letter to Rozelle, Peter Gruenstein, executive director of F.A.N.S., outlined a plan in which each team would have the right to call for three videotape replays during the course of the game.
