--Russell Photo PLANS WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Borcherding of Latimer announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Janiccc, to Ivan Davis, son of and Mrs. Troy Davis of Hampton.

The wedding will take place Aug. 23. Miss Borcherding a Drake University and Mr. Davis is a senior at Simpson College in Indianola. Couple Married in Riceville R1CEVILLE Keith Yager, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Lester Yager, Riceville, formerly of Osagc, and Miss Mary Margaret Jennison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jennison, all of Riceville, were married in the Riceville Methodist Church. Rev.

J. Howard Machlan, pastor, performed the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Miss Jean Jennison, and bridesmaid, Miss Jane Jennison. Glenn Grossman and Dean Conger, Rice ville, attended the bridegroom.

Jack Lammers, a cousin the bride, played the electric organ. A reception was for 100 in the church parlors. They left for a two weeks trip to Missoula, where they are guests of the Charles Jennison family. Upon their return they wil! be at home in Riceville. Both are graduates of the Rice ville High School.

Mr. a served in the armed forces, and employed by the Merrill G. Sniitl. and Sons Lumber Company in Riceville. Mrs.

Jennison attended the Iowa Stale Teachers Cedar Falls, and is a Riceville grade instructor. ROBERT LEHMEIER TO BE MARRIED IOWA FALLS and Mrs Wayiit R. Chapman of Nampa, announce the engagement oi their daughter, Alice, and Roberi Lehmeier, ATAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul H.

Lehmeier of Iowa Falls. Miss Chapman is employee by the Northwestern Bell Tele phone Company in Seattle, Wash. Mr. Lehmeier returned recently from service with a Navy patm squadron at Atsugi, Japan, and he is now stationed at Whidbey Is land, Wash. The date of the wed ding has not been set.

Honeydew Melon with Lemon Green Pepper Steak Steamed Rice Bean Sprout and Tomato Salad Sherberl and Cookies Beverage GREEN PEPPER STEAK Ingredients: 4 teaspoons corn- itarch, 1'A teaspoons sugar, 2 ta American soj sauce, Vi cup cold water, to 1 pound green peppers (4 medium or large), 1 pound boneless lean round or sirloin beef, garlic clove, 3 tablespoons rendered beef suet or other fat.

Method: Stir cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce together in small bowl; gradually stir in cup cold water until smooth; reserve. Wash green peppers; halve and remove seeds, membranes and stem ends; cut each half into 8 rectangular pieces. Put green pepper in saucepan; cover with cold water; bring to a boil; boil 2 minutes; drain in colander. Slice beef no more than inch thick and about width ant length of green pepper pieces. Pee and mince garlic.

Heat fat in 10 inch skillet; add garlic and beef; stir over moderate to high heai just until beef loses bright red color. Add drained peppers and soy mixture; stir until sauce thickens Serve over hot rice. Makes 4 serv --o-- VOWS EXCHANGED--Miss Margaret Shearer, daughter of Mrs. Shearer of Iowa Falls, and Millard Hamilton, son of Mrs. Frank Hamilton of Swalcdale, were married in the Iowa Falls Methodist Church Sunday.

Mrs. Hamilton will teach in the Ackley Junior High next year. Mr. Hamilton is employed by the Rock Island Railroad. They will live in Iowa Falls.

North lowan Is Wed in Germany SHEFFIELD Myrtle Elizabeth Rust, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Rust of Sheffield, became the bride of Ralph Kessler in a double ring ceremony performed in the chapel of the 97th general hospital Frankfurt, Germany. The service was read by Chaplain Horace Taylor.

Ava Hall of Dallas, was maid of honor and Ed Somers, Washington D.C., was best- man. Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served at the home of Col. and Mrs. Craig. Mrs.

Kessler is a graduate of Sheffield High School and Cornell College. She taught in Cedar Rapids for four years and during the past year has taught in the Vienna American School, Austria. Mr. Kessler is the son of and Mrs. Maurice Kessler, Oberlin, 0.

He is employed by the Department of the Army in Frankfurt. Mr. and Mrs. Kessler will travel in the Black Forest of Germany, Southern France and Switzerland. After Oct.
