The Santa Monica firm of Latt, Jackson Associates Inc. has been awarded a contract to design interiors for the 677-room structure, which will include a health club and 40,000 square feet of retail space. Hotel is first increment of the Great Lakes Gateway Project, to encompass a museum, offices, specialty shops and restaurant. The project is located on the shores of Lake Erie between the Cleveland Municipal Stadium and Burke Airport.

New Hotel Tower Near Completion in Las Vegas Exteriors have been completed and occupancy is scheduled for mid-November for the $20-million east tower at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. Under construction by Sierra Construction the 17-story structure will contain a total of 300 guest rooms and suites, which will increase the hotel's capacity to 1,000 rooms. Architect for the project is Martin Stern of Beverly Hills. Interior design work is being done by Yates and Silverman of Los Angeles at a total contract cost of about $2.5 million.
