PAGE SIX THE ELDORA HERALD LEDGER, ELDORA, IOWA TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 1950 Girl Scouts Have Shower for Mrs. Hill Mrs. Melvin H. Hill, the former Garnette Brandeland, was honored at a surprise shower Thursday afternoon at the Girl Scout rooms by troop six of which she is co-leader. Guests other than the scouts were Mary Lou Holmes, Ruth Dole, Barbara Goodell and Betty Lou Hubbard.

A color scheme of yellow and white was used. Games were played and refreshments served. Mrs. Hill received many lovely gifts including a large bouquet of handkerchiefs. HONOR MRS.

ST. JOHN A group of friends gathered Thursday in the home of Mrs. F. L. St.

John, to help her celebrate her birthday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Clinton, Mr. and Mrs.
