Rocklin, Thursday, February 17, 1983 THE PLACER HERALD PAGE 5 Blessing is message at Christian Center I i A message on "The Ability to Bless," by Pastor Milt Mead, is scheduled for Sunday's worship service at the Sierra Christian Center in Auburn. The sermon will center around Psalm 103, which teaches people to bless God and others. The center holds its services at E.V. Cain Junior High School, 150 Palm Auburn. High school and junior high school students will be able to attend a worship service directed for their age group.

Flannelgraph stories and crafts will be provided for youngsters kindergarten age and up to learn about the Bible. For babies under a year, a nursery is provided. Due to an attempt by the American Legion Rocklin Post 620, the first Gold Star Mother was found in the south Placer area this week. Evelyn Mills of Rocklin was the first to be honored. Gold Star Mothers are those who lost sons in a war. Mills lost her son, Lt. Joseph L.

Mills is looking on in the middle. She and her husband, Frank, a disabled veteran, operate the Granit Saloon on Taylor Road in Rocklin.

The post is continuing its attempt to find Gold Star Mother in the area and plans to honor them appropriately.
