DECA notional honors go to North I owans HEADQUARTERS--IX Deposed new state Methodist headquarters building in Des Moines was presented to the South Iowa Annual Qonference, first of two such meetings in the state this month Above is a model of the structure which is expected to cost about $500,000. It will be of glass curtain-wall construction with the pre-cast concrete crosses as its predominating feature. Karl Keffer Associates, Des Moines, designed the building which will provide 21 600 square feet of floor space. Construction is expected to begin in the autumn and take 12 to 15 months to complete. The new building will be adjacent to Iowa Methodist Hospital and First Methodist Church on the northwest edge of Des Moines' central business district.

It will serve as headquarters for more than 900 local churches with about 300,000 members. DES MOINES--Honors at the national conference of the Distributive Education Club of America to two North Iowa chapters. Gregg, 86 retired lawyer and businessman! will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery following cremation.

Gregg died Tuesday at an Independence hospitat. Death Briff Mrs. Margaret Kloster has arrived from Chicago to spend the summer with her son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stevens.

1 to advanced age. He was born Sept. 14, 1876, at Elm Grove, and was gi uated from the University Wisconsin in 1899 wi degree. He was voted ican quarterback and was captain of both football and baseball teams. Gregg practiced law in Milwaukee until 1909 when he joined C.

W. Hart and C. Parr in Charles City. He was company attorney for the Hart- Parr Co. (now the Oliver Corp until 1917.

From 1919 until 1929 he was northwest sales manager at Regina, Saskatchewan, branch manager for Hart-Parr. In 1929 he became president of Oliver, a Canadian subsidiary of the Oliver Corp. From 1934 until his retirement in 1950, Gregg was sales manager for Hart Refineries at Missoula, Mont. He and his wife returned to Charles City in 1954. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include sons, John Kirkland, and George, a City, one grandson and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1958. Ray Steiger CRESCO Funeral services for Ray Steiger, 67, were held Wednesday morning at the Assumption Catholic Church here. Burial was in St. John's tery north of Stacy ville: Steiger died Sunday evening at a Wilmar, hospital while visiting in Wilmar.

Survivors include his wife, a Raymond, Minneapolis and a daughter, Marianne Mon tague, also of Minneapolis, and one grandchild. The Peckosh In charge. Emerson's sister, Mrs. Pearl Wesenberg. Alexander G. R. Richards left by plane to spend a month at Princeton, N.J., with his daughter, Mrs.

Howard Schoenwetter, and family, Stacyvilfe Mr. and Mrs. Robert Janka and daughter, Mandan N.D., are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolf.

Mrs. Janka, the former Marilyn Wolf, and her daughter will be here for the summer months; while her husband attends summer school at Kansas University. Swaledale Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Carr, Swaledale, have returned to their home after spending the winter in Tucson.

Ariz. Riceville Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lesterhouse, Kalamazoo, are visiting in the Riceville and. Mclntire area.

Mrs. Lesterhouse is the Geraldine Van Syoc, daughter of the Orville Van Syocs, who lived near Riceville for many years. Wesley Daniel Arndorfer concluded a 30-day leave at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Arndorfer.

Ac companied by his parents and sister, Vickie, he left to drive to Pease AFB, N. H. The Arndorfers will do some sight seeing in New England and visit Major and Mrs. Gordon Loebig in Washington, D.C., before re turning home by train. Britt Mr.

and Mrs. Keith Stevenson, Santa Maria, Calif are visiting in the Jim Stevenson home here and with his, mother, Mrs. Esther Stevenson at Mason City. Britt Mrs. Otto Jacobson left June 6 for California to attend the graduation of her daughter, Mrs.

Phillip Jenison from San Fernando Valley College on June 13 and the gradu ation of her grandson, Phillip Jenison, from Granada Hill High School on June 21. Stacyville Mrs. T. E. Blong and son, John went to visit their father and grandfather, Charles Hewitt, Baraboo, Wis.
