Schwabacher Memorial Award at the San Francisco Opera Company's audition. Another soprano, Sylvia Davis, 30, of Oakland, won Warner forthcoming filmization of "Came-lot," Director Joshua Logan said Nero, who recently obtained his university degree in medicine, chose instead to become an actor, and that he is also a singer. Filming begins in September under the supervision of Jack L. Warner.

George Montgomery is off for Mexico in July to star in "Twist of the Knife." The story, which deals with a flier stranded in a sea-coast town who becomes involved in a search for sunken gold, will be directed by Byron Haskins for Gaurmont Pictures' producer Mark Cooper. The story is based on the novel "His Bones Are Coral" by Victor Canning. Wally Strauss, young Broadway actor, has been signed for his Hollywood screen debut in David i 's filmization of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
