Off Los Angeles Cimes Part SEPT. 4, 1964 Morris Ankrum Rites Set for Veteran Actor Morris Ankrum Funeral services for Morris Ankrum, 67, veteran stage and screen actor, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Turner Stevens, Pasadena. Mr. Ankrum, who was a director of the Pasadena Playhouse for many years beginning in 1930, died Wednesday in Huntington Memorial Hospital after a week's illness.

Formed Company He debuted on Broadway with George Arliss in "The Green Goddess," and after several other plays founded a theatrical stock company in Tacoma, Wash. His work in the Pasadena Playhouse led to film roles in which he played character parts for most of the major studios for more than 25 years.
