2. Less than one percentage point separated the three shows, Family being on top with a rating of 30.2, followed by Waitons (29.8) and Sanford (29.6). Next in line was the CBS movie "Cry Rape," which took the fourth spot to become the highest-ranked movie for televison this season. NBC's two-part "Frankenstein: the True Story," was 27th and 15th for its two nights. The week's of specials were scattered throughout the list, a repeat of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" finishing the highest (13th).

Of the new specials, it was Hallmark's "Lisa, Bright and Dark" (31st), Milton Berle Salute (26th), "Primal Man" (29th), Jacques Cou-steau (42nd), American Heritage (43rd) and CBS Playhouse 90 "The Catholics" (44th). Dick Clark's Rock 'n' Roll Years, which has taken over for Bob Carol Ted Alice Wednesday nights on ABC, was 54th in its debut. Segments of Past Yule Shows to Air Segments from Christmas shows aired in the 1940s and 50s will be pre-sented Dec. 17-25 by Frank Bresee on The Golden Days of Radio, nightly at 7:15 on KMPC. The programs will feature Bob Hope, Fibber McGee and Molly, Fred Allen, Jack Benny, Jimmy Durante, W.C.
