LAST RITES OF PIONEER HELD Funeral for Clarion Woman Is Conducted in Methodist Church CLABION F-uneral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. H. E. Harvey officiating for Mrs. Eliza Fidelia Call Shillington who died at her home March She is survived by three sons Arthur of Crystal Lake; Frank at home, Orvis of Clarion, two grandchildren and one daughter Mrs.

Carrie Winter of Belmond! and one sister, Miss Carrie Call, who was her companion in her later years. Mrs. Shillington was a member the Rebekah lodge for a number ot years. She was one of Wright county's earliest pioneers, having moved to their present home south of Clarion when but a bride. The pallbearers were six of her nephews, all of them sons of James Shillington.

Eagle Grove Man Is Held on Charge of Driving While Drunk CLARION Elmer Emery of Eagle Grove was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while intoxicated this week. He was on No. GO between Goldfield and Eagle Grove at the time. He waived preliminary hearing when arraigned before Justice ol the Peace Glen Oldham, who bound him over to the Wright county grand jury. His bond was fixed at which was furnished.
