L.K., Newport Beach A.

The comic is Steve Land-esberg and he has become a talk show regular with Paar and other shows as well. Q. A friend of mine told me that a few years ago, on the KTLA Channel 5 wrestling program, there was a wrestler who called himself "The Wrestling Beatle." Is this true? A.J., La Crescenta A. It certainly is. During the Beatlemania days of the mid 1960s, a bloke billed as George Ringo (he claimed it was his real name) made a brief appearance at the Olympic Auditorium to pin Art (Boom Boom) Mahalik.

As Beatlemania faded, so did George Ringo. Q. Please settle a bet. I watched a 1933 film, "My Man Godfrey" with William Powell as a witty butler who tamed a snobbish family. My friend claims that a remake of this picture was made with Jack Lemmon in the role of the butler.

I say he's wrong. B.E., Van Nuys A. Well, he's right about the remake but wrong about the star. "My Man Godfrey" was remade in 1957, unsuccessfully we might add, but with David Niven, not Jack Lemmon, in the title role. Q.

How old was Jean Harlow when she was killed in a plane crash? B.S., Palos Verdes A. Miss Harlow was 26 when she died in 1937, but she was not killed in a plane crash. The actress you are probably thinking of was Carole Lombard, who died tragically in a 1942 crash. Miss Harlow died of uremic poisoning. Q.

What ever happened to Leave It To Beaver? B.B., West Covina A. It went the way of most old series and was canceled. The show is still available on reruns, however, and may show up again. Q. I would love to know more about the TV Times' movie rating system.

Mainly, who determines whether a particular movie merits two checks or three, B.H., Studio City A. The TV Times' television movie rating system is a book, TV Movies, edited by Leonard Maltin, which lists critical comments on over movies that have appeared on television. If a movie is a recent release, or one not appearing in the book, we refer it to Times movie critic Charles Champlin for his evaluation. Q. The first week Jack Paar came back to television, he had on a young comic who did a Superman routine.
