and Mrs. Jacob Zwiefel will celebrate their golden: wedding anniversary Jan. 14, at! open house in their home north of I Fenton from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. Following open house the Zwiefel children will be entertained at supper. Children are Glen Zwiefel of Lakota; Mrs.

Earl Larson (Pearl) of Armstrong; Lester Zwiefel or Madison, Oscar Zwiefel of Minnesota; Lawrence Zwiefei of Swea City: Virgil and Frederick Zwiefel of Dolliver; Mrs. Donald Elbert (Ardus) of Graettinger: Mrs. Clarence Monz (Mae,) Ruy Zwiefel and Mrs. William Householder, Fenton. The Zwiefels were married in the Burt parsonage in 1901 by the Rev.

4 teaspoon pepper. Method: Melt butter or margarine in saucepan. Add cabbage, carrots, water, salt and pepper. Mix well. Cover.

Junior College to Feature Chorus on Prog ram Over KGLO The Mason City junior college will feature its mixed chorus in a half hour program on KGLO Tuesday, 8:30 p. it was announced Monday by Dean C. H. Beem. This is the 1st of a series of monthly programs to be broadcast by the college for the remainder of the year.

Saturday a car driven by Robert G. Sawyer, 22G 14th S. collided with one driven by an unknown person at 20th and S. Federal. Sawyer was going north on Federal when, he told police he ran into the rear of the other car which had stopped in line of traffic for a red light at 19th and S.

Federal. At 5 p. m. Saturday, cars driven by Esther Patterson, 122 6th W. and Kathleen V.

Dihlmann, 221 Virginia S. collided in the 100 block on 1st N. W. The Patterson car was pulling away from the curb and the Dihlmann auto was going east on 1st N. W.

A car driven by John Albert Smola, 56, 408 1st S. was sideswiped by an auto driven by Marvin D. Deberg, 19, route 1, Bristow, in front of 408 1st S. W. at 10:07 p.

m. Saturday. Police said Smola was parking on the north side of the street facing west and Deberg was going west on 1st S. W. Mrs.

Roland Eugene Lonergan, 724 N. Federal, suffered a bruised right elbow and left knee when a car driven by her husband was involved in an accident at 3:30 p. m. Sunday in front of about 16 1st S. W.

Police said a car driven by Carold Charles Baker. 25. 311 18th S. E. was struck in the rear by Lonergan's cur.

Lonergan's auto was bumped from the rear by a car driven by Stanford L. Sciliscth, 31, 718 Pennsylvania S. E. All 3 cars were going cyst on 1st S. W.

and Mrs. Chris Oelberg and Walter Poshusta were listed as winners of various contests. The club, at its business session, voted to donate a trophy to be awarded to the team that wins 3rd place at the Midwest basketball tournament of deaf players, which will take place at Des Moines Feb. 23 and 24. TKe team winning the 1st place will represent the mid- west at the national tournament at Indianapolis late in March.
